06/29/2010 - Inferno Blaze Through To 12AA Mission Cup

Luke Rosendale's goal with 3:20 left in the second period gave the Inferno a 5-4 lead and would prove to be their final goal in their victory over the Bulldawgz to win the 12AA Championship.  The Inferno were a 12U-A team to begin the year and was playing up in AA for the playoffs.

The game went without a goal in the game's final 14:10, but leading up to that, three players recorded a pair of goals with only Rosendale recording three points (two goals and an assist).  David Callihan scored 30 seconds apart at the end of the first period after the Bulldawgz had jumped out to a 3-0 lead and looked to have the game in control.  The Inferno would tack on a couple more in the second before Rosendale scored.  Tyler Gerhold's second of the game with 2:10 left in the second was the final goal of the game, a surprise to many onlookers.

Rosendale finished the tournament tops in points (11) and tied for first in assists with five.  Roman Kraemer of the Bulldawgz was tops in goals seven.  Gerhold also had nine points but did it with the help of a division-leading five assists along with Rosendale.  Jared Gerger of the Inferno had a balanced tournament with four goals, four assists and eight points.  Jake Corso from the 495ers scored six goals and finished second in goals.
