06/29/2010 - Flash Grab 12AAA Mission Cup From Fox Chase

Nick Foster scored five goals to lead Fox Chase to a 5-4 victory, forcing a winner-take-all match-up with the Flash who scored four third-period goals en route to a 7-2 victory and the Mission Cup.

Foster was held off the scoresheet in the second game, paving the way for J. T. Tarantino (three goals) Tommy Holowchuk (two goals, assist) to shine and grab the championship.  It took the teams 11:59 to score the game's first goal with Justin Delaney scoring at the end of the first to put the Flash up 1-0.  Tarantino would score his second 30 seconds into the second, then a barrage of goals lit up the scoreboard.

Matt Woods got the first goal for Fox Chase to cut the lead to 2-1, afterwhich Holowchuk scored to make it 3-1 just 27 seconds later.  Harrison Lownes got Fox Chase back to within one 31 seconds later, but Holowchuk's previous strike proved to be enough.

Fox Chase wound up playing five games during the three-team tournament and Foster's performance gave him 12 goals and 14 points to lead all scorers.  Tarantino was second in both categories with seven and nine respectively.  Holowchuk and Woods had three assists each to lead in that category.
