Tyler Kraft's goal 28 seconds into overtime was the different maker in a back-and-forth contest between two seemingly evenly-matched teams. 

After Anthony Kline started the scoring with 8:31 left in the first period to put the Gladiators up 1-0, the Cougars took the lead in the span of 3:18 late in the first on goals by Carl Flinn and Mike Mannino.

Nick D'Angelantonio tied the game 1:50 into the second before Chris Thomas put the Cougars back ahead with 7:05 left in the second.  Kline would tie the game before Thomas gave his team the lead again.  Kline's strike with four minutes left gave him the hat trick and tied the game at four headed to the extra session.

For the second time in the 14U Division, the leading scorer didn't make the championship game as the Inferno's Matt Gerger scored 11 goals and had 13 assists to lead both categories.  Kraft, D'Angelantonio and Cutter Mummert of the Rage all had 10 points in the tournament.  Logan Davis of the Inferno led with helpers with six assists, one ahead of D'Angelantonio's five.
