John Gunn scored twice and added four assists as the 495ers outlasted the Flash AA-2 team 6-2 to win the 17AA Lower Mission Cup.

Four different players helped push the Flash into a winner-take-all game before Gunn exploded on the scoresheet.  Nick Lang scored the first goal to put the 495ers up 1-0 after one before Brandon Pavlik tied it midway through the second.  Daniel Hirt put the 495ers back on top with 4:10 left before Phil Loureiro tied the game a second time before the end of the second.  Hirt and Gunn alternated a pair of goals each in the third to run away with the game.

Hirt finished the playoffs with nine goals and 12 points while Gunn had six assists and 11 points overall.  Gunn tied for second in goals with Jared Castellazo of the Flash with five each.
